Yes, I agree. I don't have a problem with moderate Muslims, I watched a show on SBS last Wednesday night about this very subject and if the majority of Muslims were like the ones on the program we have nothing to fear. I don't believe all Muslims are bad anymore than I believe all bible bashers are bad. Extremists from any faith are bad. The Muslims on the program I watched went to Manly beach to learn to surf, at least the male did, his wife went swimming there too she was in a neck to ankle Lycra number.

I think Islam needs to put some effort in and educate the west in what it is all about.

I have lived in 4 Islamic countries now and worked in more.

Islam has good values similar to Christianity.
They have the same god, the god of Abraham. (this is important for me to know... that's another story)

Unlike the Christian church they have no command and control structure. Each Imam is independent. If you think about it, it make a very resilient loosely joined up organisation that has no real central authority and that makes it hard destroy and impossible to change centrally. They do have major respected leaders that can influence Imams but not control them.

I believe the current ISIL bunch are using Ilsam name in vane to influence the disenfranchised, some of it created by the wests handling of many situation poorly, for political ends. It is not religion. It is politics of control and power. Let's face it if you only have known all your life poverty, pain and death... these guys appear to offer you hope.

We need to pull together as a world and help these people in these areas have some life with the human dignity we take for granted so extremist ideology is not appealing.

If I was desperate for survival, uneducated, have hate in my heart as I have grown up watching your family get killed and someone offered me hope..... I may seriously consider it. Like the mafia, once you are in there is only one way out.

The world has a big problem. We should politically not constrain our government ability to deal with it.

Be prepared for a long fight and many lives been lost on this issue over the next 10 years.

Actually they don't have the same god at all. Islamics would like you to think so to add credibility to the cult that plagiarized every other religion and pagan religion under the sun and I can prove it.

If you must bat for islam let them have their own god they call allah there is no point in insulting other religions by saying they have the same god.

Abraham's God said he would send his Son. Allah DOES NOT. Look it up if you don't believe me. So if its important to you, may I suggest a little study before telling others they worship the same deity that muslims do. Yeah I wasn't having a go at you I have just had this conversation at various places
where I have overheard people telling others that don't know and in reality the person
talking to them didn't know themselves they just blindly believed someone else.

Historical holy manuscripts from Judaism relate to Abraham and is a good place to start that predates Islam and is their claim also. You will find the prophets prophesied Gods Son the messiah before Islam was invented by Mohamed. Allah has no Son.

You should see how all the other practices that muslims are mandated to perform or do are plagiarised
from other religions and sects and paganism all from the day. Mohammed was one smart cookie I'll give him that but he certainly was no prophet of a god.

The Abrahamic prophets prophesied God would send his Son.
Islamic Allah does not have a Son. The Islamic argument is moot.

After Abraham sure Jews denied Christ differentiating it from Christianity, not only that Crucified Him. Mohammed when he invented Islam just took and twisted all existing texts to suit his own ideology to garner support. For instance Christ was never crucified, it was Judas, Abraham stuck Ishmael on the rocks to be slaughtered not Jacob, the list is as long as my johnson. I have formally studied this subject just to let you know.

The God of Abraham is claimed by the muslims to be their god but he is not. Where they fall down is in the fact they say Allah says he has no Son. That negates Abraham's God being their God because the prophets announced Yahweh sends His Son , contrary to the myth so widely spread today by muslims. They never thought it through.

Secondly the Christian God is a Truine God consisting of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The muslim God is one entity or persona and Jews simply denied His Son.

So either way you slice it the Muslim God is NOT the Christian nor Jewish God.
People call them Abrahamic religions because they all claim to come from Abraham not the fact they are. Islam falsely makes that claim even though ten million Islamics and less learned scholars or politically sensitive scholars ignore the fact presented above it is still a false claim.

There is no getting around that for muslims or anyone else it is documented. They should be content with their own version of god whether he exists or not but he certainly is not Abrahamic. Thats an insult.

The islamic god actually originated with Hubal a pagan god of the moon. He was worshiped by the pagan quraysh clan that mohammed was an upstanding member of. It involved meteorite worship and he had 3 daughters. Al-Uzzá a stone cube at aṭ-Ṭā’if (near Mecca) was held sacred as part of her cult. She is mentioned in the Qur'an Sura 53:19 as being one of the goddesses that people worshiped.

The whole need for mohammed to make out islam was from abraham was Christianity being monotheistic back in the day was growing fast and very popular. He simply needed to people to follow him with an idealogy. So he simply made islam incorporating all the practices of the pagan religions of the people he was trying to get. Keeping it monotheistic after the satanic verse debarcle that backfired on him.

Saying Allah is the same God as the Christians or even Abrahamic is a HUGE insult.
