Well, we were supposed to get very strong winds. Didn't really get that, nor all that much rain, one really good shower.

Walked to bakery with Demi the Wonder Dog™ :) and saw a big planter with a tree in it blown over so definitely some wind.

Lights have been flickering a bit but Mac computers been solid thanks to their switching power supplies (or something :) )

Now the sun is out so changeable day!

Farout, pissing down again! Wonder if obedience practice will be on.

Last Tuesday the talk was all of heavy rain coming down soon, so I joined a Grade 3 class in case the more advanced classes were washed out. Well, it never rained but there were only three of us 'advanced' handlers, so I did a CCD lesson rather than a CD/Novice lesson. What bloody fairweather people, get out in the open air, wind & rain, good for you! :)

Will look up the BoM (http://www.bom.gov.au) b4 I head for the parklands where the lessons are held!

Its unpredictable alright..was outside this morning cleaning out my car when a shower just soaked me thru...5 minutes before that the sky was practically clear.
I feel a chill setting in.

I'm supposed to be going over to Adelaide for a party in 2 weeks and a game of AFL on the Sunday..but I'm not that keen. My team is not playing and Celly put me off the experience of a good Aussie footy match..cold hotdogs and rain .I might give it a miss.

Hmmmm clouds at about ceiling height this morning. Had rained a fair bit overnight.

Heard on ABC local radio that Jun rainfall rather below average, the year to date slightly below average. As climate change continues the circumpolar winds around Antartica draw in tighter around Antartica and SE Australia then gets dryer as it is cyclones/anticyclones (lows and highs) that bring the rain. Need to look forward and start work on damming some Qld rivers to prevent flooding in Qld and sending that water into the MD basin. Can't see anything else preventing SE Australia becoming too dry for agriculture.

I think I might give the party a miss too..

I heard that the drought is over at last. Well one would have thought, but one has thought before and it wasnt so..
Off to buy a bottle of firewater..keep away the winter chill.

Oh yeah, remember my recipe:

1 or 2 fingers gin/brandy/whisky or whatever
juice of a nice lemon
2 tbsp honey
.25L boiling water, stir well and drink before it cools too much

Infallible!
