That isn't the point. Ranks are NOT used here, unlike your Twitterblog. Did you read my "rank" under my avatar? I can zip into my Control Panel and change that every so often, if I care to. You are wrong, Monk. Go away.GeorgeH wrote:Because ranks are not used everyday here does not mean we do not have the ability to use ranks.

DOLT - A person who is stupid and entirely tedious at the same time, like bwian. Oblivious to their own mental incapacity. On IGNORE - Warrior, mellie, Nom De Plume, FLEKTARD
Re: AIA
No, that is your location not your rank. A rank is generated by the system based on the number of posts made or a special rank is created by the Admin.Neferti~ wrote:That isn't the point. Re: AIA
Ranks are used to give people a 'rank' based on their post count ie the star system at OzPol of "Gold Member", "Junior Member", 3 stars, 5 stars etc.
Or to denote "Moderators", "Administrators" or whatever 'groups' you want to allot to the forum. It is usually shown as a star system or a little medal. If it was activated here aussie would give himself a little medal with "Original Animal" on it.

No star system in phpBB3. General ranks based on post count OR a special rank set by the Admin to apply to one member. That can be done regardless if general ranks are not used and ranks have never been used before. I Admin a board so I know! OzPol is YABB not phpBB3 so works a bit differently to here.
