Hizb ut-Tahrir in Australia

Post by Black Orchid » Fri Sep 19, 2014 10:37 am

Why is this group allowed to preach its hate here and organise protests? 400 muslims attended a protest at Lakemba yesterday calling for all Muslims to stand against government aggression. Calling on Allah to "curse these dogs".

Hizb ut-Tahrir is banned in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Russia, Pakistan, parts of Central Asia, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Bangladesh yet it is free to operate in Australia, Britain, USA and Canada.

Within an hour or so of the anti terror raids they were out in full force with placards printed up and ready to go. All bearing the name Hizb ut-Tahrir Australia. This group should be permanently banned here.
THE Abbott government is set to introduce new anti-terror laws that could finally see political parties like Hizb ut-Tahrir banned in Australia.

The laws would be introduced in the next fortnight. The changes would broaden the definition of terrorism to supporting or advocating terrorism generally, as opposed to a specific act or incident.
This was back in July, a long 'two weeks'.
Uthman Badar, a spokesman for Hizb ut-Tahrir in Australia, said yesterday successive governments had threatened to shut down the organisation but none had proved successful to date.
Why not???

400 attended. Really? How come all the press say it was 100, except for the mud press they say it was 150. Assuming it was 150, 150 out of hundreds of thousands. You're doing just what the gov want you to, jumping at muzzy shadows. Lumping all Muslims as terrorists is like lumping all Catholics as terrorists. :o

About 400 people attended a protest at Lakemba railway station on Thursday night organised by Hizb ut-Tahrir.

I have seen reports of 200 and 400 but does it really matter if it's 200 or 400 or just 40?

Do you want this group Hizb ut-Tahrir operating in Australia? It certainly sounds like you don't care one way or the other and are happy to just let them spread their hate amongst the masses even though they have been banned by many of their own Arab countrymen.

I detest paedophiles and rapists and you know what? MOST are of the male gender. By your reasoning that means I actually hate all men and that every time I make a comment in condemnation of these perpetrators that, in fact, I am spewing hate and fear against all men. Really?

Where did I lump ALL Muslims as terrorists? Please point it out.

Would you consider Hizb ut-Tahrir, the subject of this topic, to be mainstream, pacifists of the Muslim faith?

Sad, skippy, sad.

The MUD press have just updated their story to two hundred, three figures in one day. :roll
Your reasoning makes no sense, now you want to hate all men because some are kiddy fiddlers, well some Christians are terrorists do you hate all Christians too?
And yes it does make aDifference if it's 400, 4000 or just 40, given there are hundreds of thousands of mozzies here a very small minority protested yet you make a big deal of it.
There are bad apples in every bunch. I think anyone that believes in fairies in the sky is a retard, I don't care what their gods name is the're all loony.

Oh and yes this group should be banned as should any group that is a danger to everyday Australians, so that includes loony bible bashers too. The hate that loony fringe bible bashers create against other religions is just as dangerous. You only have to take a look at social media today to understand that. Extremists of any persuasion are a danger to our way of living.

Your reasoning is unsound and exactly as I stated.

The subject topic is "Hizb ut-Tahrir in Australia". It is not "All Muslims in Australia" and it doesn't matter how many attend these protests with their HuT banners. The point is that they should not be allowed to conduct their hate filled protests here period.

All men are not paedophiles and rapists. All Catholics are not paedophiles and murderers. All Muslims are not terrorists yet people of your ilk continually try to shut down discussions aimed at a fundamentalist minority on the pretence that the condemnation is of the whole.

It's a very sad mindset to have so how about you address the actual topic of Hizb ut-Tahrir? You are apparently quite happy to have them here no matter how few or many they form?

I agree about born agains and Christian cults but most of them don't run around with banners calling to behead all those who oppose them. When they do, I will condemn them as well.

This mindset of a few on forums, whereby topics are lost and shouted down because some wrongly assume that the intent of the topic is fear and loathing of the masses instead of what is clearly stated, causes unnecessary argument, angst and constant white noise until the topic is so bent and twisted out of proportion it is indistinguishable from the original post.

OzPol is a prime example of this. :roll

I think questioning the amount of people at the rally was valid and on topic.
I think pointing out a very small minority of people turned up to support this group is valid. It shows it has very little support in mainstream Islam as well as the rest of society.

The numbers just don't matter. Maybe you were correct on numbers and maybe I was.

Why resort to raising the topic of Catholics when Muslims are being discussed? Aren't Catholics/Churches constantly being smeared because of a few paedophile priests/ministers? 1.2 billion Catholics in the world and don't you expect many of those to come out and point a finger at the few bad ones? Which, incidentally, they do. We all should expect that.

So, why should we not expect the same of Muslims? Why shouldn't we expect them to come out and expose those radical fundamentalists in their midst as well? They hide in plain site preaching hate and violence at their mosques. Why shouldn't ordinary Australians be upset that these supposed 'mainstream' Muslims rarely speak out against the radicals hidden in their midst and why should we not criticise them for not speaking out?

If there is so little support for these radicals why isn't more of 'mainstream' Islam denouncing them?
