My platform will be run on a few simple precedents and preferences.

1. I will not take any shit from anyone and neither should anyone else.
2. Aussie, being the constant shit giver will be leashed and caged should he decide it spew his bile, then banned if he does not acquiesce.*
3. Whiners will not be tolerated. If you don't like what someone else has written, combat them in the arena of the forum, do not message mods to adjudicate what you are offended to read.
4. Whingers will not be tolerated. Ever.
5. All are welcome, except those who decide to attack the mods
6. Mods will be selected as one left and one right. Both will be accountable to each other, the users and the admin.
7. If you want to act like a fluffy bunny, you will be treated like a fluffy bunny.
8. No quarter will be given
9. I will be fair.
10. I will not pander to posters, no matter their time on the block.
11. I will be devastatingly efficient on those that are damaging to the forum.
12. Political content will be encourages, left or right.
13. Forum political content will be discouraged until voting roles around..

Aussies tactics will be thoroughly rejected at every turn because they have been shown to be poisonous. That poison will not be forgotten.


* Aussie is a special case and shall be dealt with accordingly.

No one else will make sure Aussie's destructive behaviour is reigned in.
I will make sure he will never be able to trouble posters or this forum again.

I have been doing some research regarding the PHPBB software and there are a few tricks that can be employed against a serial protagonist such as Aussie so that he will be rendered harmless, have a target on his forehead and failing all else be made permanently absent.

Although, should I win, I gather he will slither off an hide somewhere until he thinks there is another chance at destabilizing the forum. My bag of tricks mentioned above will render it impossible for him to do so, even after a change of admin.

Please think seriously about your vote and what you want for this forum. Aussie is the largest problem we have here. An incoming admin should make the biggest problems their priority. A vote for me will ensure the problem is taken care of.

Now, that's more like it, IQ!

Aussie is the main problem around here, he should be banned properly, i.e. until the next Election, at the very least, so for 12 months.

We need to know too, IQ, who you plan to appoint as your Mods. The current ones are fine by me (and I am sure everybody else) but there have been other Mods appointed that were "snuck in", and who immediately started editing/deleting posts that didn't live up to "it's" accepted brand of politeness. It's a Political Forum, not a Church picnic!

This Forum may not have a lot of posters but, despite what Arsehole Andy* says (*NB this is a derogatory nickname and not one of the poster's several alleged "real" names) it is still up and running after around 7 years. It is comfortable, unlike the rabble over at OzPol where there are way too many posters all trying to get attention ..... the white noise over there is something horrific ... everybody talking over everybody. At least here, if people wish to ignore you, you catch on very easily and don't think they have "missed your exciting post" and need to draw it to their attention.
