The way I look at it is, the Pentagon has access to some of the best minds US tax dollars can buy, so if they reckon the climate wars will begin in Africa, huge parts of China will be uninhabitable, western Europe could freeze over, freeze over due to warming? and virtually every coastal city on the planet inundated by oceans, they're probably correct. In case you've forgotten the idea is that we will reach a TIPPING POINT a POINT OF NO RETURN where catastrophic global warming will occur and heat... remember that stuff? The stuff that isn't cold and isn't freezing? hmmmm... heat will increase over the whole planet turning us into Venus MarkII.

As I said—sea level rise is already causing problems. AGW is causing lots of other problems too and will see a massive loss of species, endangering the stability of ecosystems—e.g. the acidification of the oceans, seasons changing causing problems for migratory species.
