The stain of the ALP/Greens leftwing alliance to cripple the Australian economy has finally been removed, thanks to Tony Abbott and his brilliant ability to prosecute the argument against a tax that does nothing except take productivity and competitiveness backwards.

It was foisted on the Australian public as lie and steam rolled through to law by a Frankenstein parliament made up of ideologist who represent a small minority of extremists whose grasp of economics is either non-existent or more likely, understood but unable to be contemplated because of a severe lack of moral compass that put their belief system above the wants, needs and desires of the Australian public.

Labor will go to the next election with an anchor around their neck of bringing back the carbon tax...if Shorten is still leader of the opposition. Odds are, with his decision to do this, he won't be leading Labor to the next election.

Expect his replacement 6-12 months before the next election.
