As we get older and in the age of celebrity.... many more famous or well known people will start to drop off this mortal coil.

Re: RIP - I see dead people
R.I.P Rik.....thanks for the laughs.
Comedian Rik Mayall dies aged 56
Rik Mayall, the actor whose bulging-eyed rage enlivened a series of grotesque comic characters, has died at the age of 56.
An ambulance was called to his home in Barnes, southwest London, shortly after midday today but paramedics were unable to save him.
The immediate cause of his death was unclear, but friends said that Mayall never recovered fully from brain damage he suffered in a quad bike accident in April 1998.
Adrian Edmondson, who starred with him in many ventures, including The Young Ones and Bottom, spoke with sadness about the loss of his friend, who used to boast that his five-day coma over the Easter weekend meant that he was dead for longer than Jesus Christ.
“There were times when Rik and I were writing together when we almost died laughing,” Edmondson said. “They were some of the most carefree stupid days I ever had, and I feel privileged to have shared them with him. And now he’s died for real. Without me. Selfish bastard.”

Sad about Rik. I read somewhere that he suffered from epilepsy after the accident and could have had a fit. Too young at only 56 but that seems to be a bad age for males. I know of many men who have died from various things from heart attacks to cancer at 56, including my father.
