Bing
Being a bit old school I am still not used to notebook keyboard spacing and my fingers fly across the keys and often my little pinkies set something off. While I was typing away yesterday Flashplayer popped up and and before I realised it my fingers struck a key I didn't mean to. Now I have Bing, conduit, shopdo or something weird and all this other crap everywhere and I can't get rid of them.
I have tried using all the fixes on the net and got rid of a pc popup and this shopdo thing but the rest won't go away. Any ideas?

Re: Bing
Actually it wasn't Flashplayer that caused it. It was a supposed Java update. It just happened again but I stopped typing before whatever is in it took control again

What browser are you using. A lot of these can be disabled via the "add-ons" tab.

I am using Chrome and I have tried to disable it in add-ons . It disappeared only temporarily. Everything else the net is telling me to uninstall, disable etc I don't seem to even have.
What if I uninstall Chrome? Or Java?

I am using 8.1 too. I often have problems updating Flash. I hate Flash and Java.

I had XP for ages. I much prefer Win 8.1 that came loaded with my "games computer" that I got late last year than the Win 7 I got with the Toshiba laptop I bought in late 2012.Lucas wrote:Good luck.Black Orchid wrote:OK I think it's finally gone.
How is Windows 8.1 I don't mind it. I am not running it yet.

You could check your files etc to see what has just attached itself to your computer and delete em.
Or update whatever virus protection you have and run a scan and hope for the best.

Export your bookmarks first from chrome. Uninstall Chrome and re-install it and import your exported bookmarks.
Less than 5 min for a solution.
If the crap comes back after the browser re-install, then go into uninstall programs and look for the offender by date of its install and uninstall it. If you can't see anything google is the only way to find out how to kill the sucker.
