My Anal Fistula

10 years ago I was diagnosed with a strange tumour/abcess near my my rectum. Later I was told it was an anal fistula. Was also told an operation might help some but I would probably have bowel problems afterwards so I decided to live with it. And so I have. The anal fistula explains much about my personality both online and off: Pain, blood and pus are hard to live with. I have improved my diet some and have lost some weight but I am looking for dietary suggestions because I have heard they can help. Any thoughts?
