Is Mandela a Zombie?

I thought so this summer when I saw a picture of him propped up at the family table but I guess I was wrong because it is being reported he is dead. RIP Nelson.

I always thought Zombies were dead.

Well I'm all Mandela'd out I'm sick of the crap all over the media... the man did nothing to affect my life, end of story.

That may not be true in the long run. he showed how reconciliation can work. Even though it has turn corrupt. This precedent may be needed in the near future.

All of the top US white conservatives can't say "hero" enough in their praise of Mandela but left up to the same US conservatives, he would have remained in prison for the past 25 additional years. Ronald Reagan put Mandela on a terrorist list and vetoed the sanctions passed by the Democrat-controlled congress. Jerry Falwell implored his supporters to write their congressmen to oppose the sanctions and INvest in the oppressive regime rather than DIvest. Pat Robertson labeled Mandela as a “communist” and a “radical.”

He was a communist and a radical... and an advocate for human rights. Sometimes life throws us "opportunities" that lead down paths we wouldn't normally tread.
What happens now and in the future in SA will be interesting, lets hope it doesn't go the way of Rhodesia.
