That's no surprise. He had to run, but now that Labor has lost - there's no point in him hanging around. Yes the cost is prohibitive for these bi-elections, but politicians don't give a stuff. I wonder what Labor's chances are of holding onto the seat. Queenslanders might also be getting a bit fed up with the Libs.

Gave up half way into the first race. Ran every where except the track during the second race. Made a start in the third race farted twice and refused to go any further. If K Loser was a race horse his next appearance would be labelled PAL.

I wasn't talking about his prior term before Gilliard. I was specifically referring to this last term. As it turns out, 87 days isn't even close to the shortest term. Frank Forde served as PM for a total of eight days back in July of 1941. Rudd's in the top five though.
