Canada has same sex marriages, apparently. NOT recognised anywhere else. Ha ha ha. Too bad. So Sad.

Do they also want same sex Divorce laws? I bet they don't even consider it as they think their relationship will last f.o.r.e.v.e.r. :f

Let them do what they want, legally. My Greenie neighbour was just telling me all about this. Her friends got married in Canada and Australia won't recognise it ..... oooh aaahhhh .. I refused to argue about it. :rofl

I am deeply opposed to denying human-beings the fundamental right to both a mother and a father.

When we speak of gay marriage, do we not speak of denying their off-spring the biological right to both a mother and a father?

Being a kid is tough enough, let alone this.

Sorry... perhaps i'm not progressive enough, but if my kid came home from school with an invitation to attend a slumber party at a gay couples house, I'm afraid I'd have to say no.

Not because I am opposed to homosexuality...(I have a number of friends who are gay)... but because I am opposed to selfishness.

Having kids isn't about celebrating your sexuality, it's about celebrating them as individuals...and their right to their own identity.

Not their parents deviant or otherwise sexuality.

I have 3 gay friends...neither of them are pro-gay marriage nor plan on having children.

Yes

But is it a right?

Is a child's right violated in a divorce?

I don't think that is a solid argument.

Biologically they (at this time) must have a father an mother contributing their genes. So they have a biological mother and father. They just may not be involved in their lives. I think the only right the child has is to know where they came from and who provided the genes that made them.

The key difference between divorced hetero and gay-parentage is that we don't go into it willingly and or with the outcome already pre-determined.

Again, being a kid is tough enough these days without having gay-parents stacked against you.

I heard on the radio a couple of weeks ago a gay guy talking about how he and his partner adopted a kid. he argued he was a better parent than what the kid had before them. they provide a safe environment ...etc.

There is no evidence that have gay parents will make the kid gay. Not sure of that.

"Marriage Equality" is just the latest excuse thought up by LW Progs to damage society by ending the tradition of marriage/family and the make up of the family unit.

I don't know about male homosexuals but the females that I have come across over the years didn't start off being Lesbian, they became so after a bitter divorce and most had produced children! How do you explain that? Several of them I felt comfortable enough to ask them "why" and they just said they had learned to hate men! We all know that most males will screw anything that stands still long enough, but ........... what's their excuse?

OK, so not being able to marry your same-sex partner is a form of "discrimination". I say let them marry whomever they wish and be just as disappointed as the rest of us when it fails. Live and learn. Life Goes On! Changing your sexual preferences and marrying that person isn't the answer.

Most real gays don't want to even get married.
