Was it good port?
The better I get to know people, the more I find myself loving dogs.

Hmmm Port is OK I can now report.

Wanted to go to the Farmers Market first thing today, nope. Made a fantastic dinner last night, King George whiting with potato au gratin with cream. Bloody nice and quite filling, and didn't wake till like 8.00am this morning :) Too late for Farmers Market, only just on time for the novice class! Hmmm Dame Demi broke the sit-stay! Grrrrrr! did some more of the lesson then off to the Novice practice ring. Took the Dame through her paces, pretty damn good actually! Lesson and ring all done off lead of course.

That over, grab a couple biccies and arrange a drink for the Dame, then off helping instruct the Grade 2 ring. Huge fucking class, didn't feel up to roaring and shouting so spent time helping people one on one, then helped with a much smaller Grade 4-5 class. Told them, as a class, to walk around their dogs' tails, not over them--one night or some other reason if they step on the tail there goes your Trial or the dog might bite you or whatever.

There were some graduations, nice to see people I helped in Grade 1 a few weeks ago still doing what I told them and being graduated into Grade 3!
Earth Dog. The Dame scurried into and around the tunnels so by the time the instructor rocked up she didn't want to go in and get the rabbit :) Was talking to someone who was at the Dover Trial last weekend--she has a pair of Border Terriers and shows them but since they are from a Victorian breeders and the Victorian standard is different to the SA one she doesn't tend to place :) Nice looking dogs tho, quite a small terrier, compact. I wouldn't mind having a Tenterfield Terrier, active little dogs with a clean line to them.

Home now, drinking some Cointreau and eating some decent chocolate.

hi Monk..

Im thinking you may know this one..an old friend of mine used to sip neat brandy..I think it was a cognac..it was so very smooth and quite declicious..(he was the old Bulgarian man I was telling you of who was an SS in WW2..)

Anyway I never sought to take note of the brand and now its lost to me forever...I gather it was very expensive ,he had a good supply. It was exceedinlgy smooth and could not have been just any old cognac..any clues as to what it could have been? I have tried Google if thats your next suggestion, but leads me nowhere really.

He sourced it from Adelaide.

WTF Wet Gurl?

St Agnes is a great brandy and it is made here in the great state of SA. I buy a bottle when winter starts and sip it straight!

Yeah funny how they change, one week it is a pallette of grain, the next one of hops.

My palate has matured and become more sophisticated with time.

Venison pie is in the oven, smelling heavenly!

heh don't mind my pedantic nature, pallette, palate we know what you mean :)

12 years ago my best friend (who is somehow still alive) drank alot of that St Agnes brandy shit and got entirely smashed. My other friends and I created some free entertainment when we dressed her up as the killer from Scream and sent her running through peoples' yards yelling out 'Do you want to die tonight Sidney?'. We had to stop her when some party pooper called the cops. Ah life in Queenstown during the 1990s. Nowhere near as fun as Seaton in the 2000s though.
