Re: Predatory Cabbies
Would you feel comfortable even taking change off Aussie if you knew he may have been cleaning up his last "deposit" with nothing more than a Kleenex? Last time I looked there were no sanitary cleaning facilities inside a cab.
Although I don't know how the hell this would work for Aussie. Even if I caught a cab and didn't have the fare, the last thing I'd want is a blowjob from him no matter how much he insisted or begged I owed it to him to batter his tonsils.

There is a way out. Who locked the cab doors? Who made the offer? Does it matter who. If agreement is reached between two adults, end of story.Super Nova wrote:We disagree.
Your definition of consensual and mine are different.
If you have no way out and are willing to submit as the easiest way out, you call that consensual.
Like a wife beater who promised not to hit his wife today in exchange for sex makes it consensual and is the same as your definition.

Certainly not! Taxi drivers who want to take advantage of females, drunk or otherwise, are predators.IQS.RLOW wrote:Would you feel comfortable even taking change off Aussie if you knew he may have been cleaning up his last "deposit" with nothing more than a Kleenex? I used to take a taxi back from the Mall, in the daytime, and sit in the front, but then, one time, noticed that the driver had his trousers undone.... creepy males drive taxis.

Re: Predatory Cabbies
A lot of cabbies in Sydney are sleazy, smelly and very few speak English. Twice in recent years I have had totally inappropriate and unwanted advances from them. One got out of his cab, on the pretext of helping me with parcels, and proceeded to push his body into mine and pin me against the cab. He wanted to be invited inside. The second one started talking "familiarly" with me in his broken English saying that I once invited him inside and now he would like to take up the "offer". There was never any such offer. AS IF I would invite anyone I didn't know, let alone a cab driver, into my house.
I didn't report it because both times I had called for a cab and they knew my name and address and they were both sleazy and very creepy.
Another time my friend's 18 year old daughter got driven about $25 too far out of her way. She knew the fare and had the money but he just kept going round and round ignoring her protests. She was terrified. Maybe he was just hoping she would run out of money and he could put the hard word on her?
It may be common practice in their own country but it is not ok here.
It's NOT ok no matter how you want to spin it and I can't believe any female would condone it.

What has that got to do with what I am discussing? That behaviour is obviously objectionable but it is not what I am referring to.Black Orchid wrote:A lot of cabbies in Sydney are sleazy, smelly and very few speak English. Well I was discussing "PREDATORY CABBIES"
You seem to think it's ok for cabbies to ask for sexual 'favours' in lieu of money. It's not! Period!
What's even more appalling is that both yourself and Mantra condone it.

Re: Predatory Cabbies
I was looking at it mainly from the perspective of the passenger who offers it in lieu. What is wrong with that?Black Orchid wrote:Well I was discussing "PREDATORY CABBIES"
