There is a risk in every transaction. Should we all not have credit cards because some default. No. The price includes an estimate in defaults. It clearly not about money. If a taxi driver accept a blow job instead of money it's not about the money. It's about something else. It's about control and abusing his position.

Under your logic, doctors have the right to have sex with vulnerable patents if they cannot pay. Teacher having sex with students if they get their assignments in late. Police officers having sex if they cannot afford the fine.

Bullshit. if you are in the service of a profession this is not acceptable.

You can't compare doctors and teachers to cab drivers. Cabbies are from all walks of life and they are not professionals who have to swear some sort of professional conduct oath.

The couple of times this has happened to my daughter - I've driven km's to pick her up in the early hours of the morning, or else I've rung the cab company to explain that if they bring her home - I'll have the fare for the driver. It would never occur to me or my children to jump in a cab for a free ride.

Few people I know would put themselves in a position of stealing from someone who is trying to earn an honest living.

I said in my first post that cabs should be fitted with some sort of security system where they can lock the customer in and take him/her to the nearest police station. They should also ask for proof first, before they take them anywhere, of their ability to pay.
