:roll ... Bottom line, we are all getting tired of you berating members calling them liars or nut-cases simply because they express a point of view different to your own.

Are you on the spectrum Roach, cos you are quite black and white and remind me a little of someone I admire.

Mantra is not a liar, and she's entitled to her opinion be it wrong or right here on PA.

:Hi
Are you lying mel?
I don't believe I've ever called anyone a "nut-case". (It's possible, but not likely.)

I do know the difference between an opinion piece and an editorial.
An opinion piece is someone's opinion and editorial is an editor's opinion.
I'm happy for people to hold a different opinion mel... just not to use lies to back them up...
mantra is a liar... she lies often and comprehensively. She lies about people and politics.
She is entitled to her opinion... and to be wrong or right... but she is not entitled to get away with lying or spread lies as truths.

Bush, like Howard, got out in the nick of time before the flack hit the fan.
Do I have to add another six hundred words to explain something Roach? Bush did get out in the nick of time - just because I didn't add that he couldn't run again - doesn't mean my statement is untrue. He was lucky and avoided the backlash like Howard.
But Bush left and Howard got booted. Not the same thing at all. :rofl
The rest of the original post is full of biased inaccuracies. I have pointed them out.
Now just let people post the way they want to politically. Mel, me, Aussie or anyone else with an opinion different to yours has the right to express in their own words their views without having their character assassinated. You are just an ordinary person with as many foibles and flaws (if not more) as anyone else.
You decided to make that statement mantra... it is a lie. If you chose to omit facts... that is you deliberately lying. I corrected your lie in a lot less than 600 words mantra... but if you did the same that would have changed your inference and meaning entirely... and that is the point... you chose to spread a falsehood.

You can post how you like... But I and others will pick you up on your lies... so don't get annoyed when we do. That is part of debate BTW... if you want a hand holding sing song for progressive leftards join Monk. You can all lie to each other all day long and live in blissful, prejudiced ignorance... and the rest of us won't have to waste our time correcting your lies.

Are you lying mel?

I don't believe I've ever called anyone a "nut-case". (It's possible, but not likely.)
-The Roach

....Nor words to this effect?

Roach, you often tell people to take their meds etc...and are seemingly fixated on calling people liars now too.

8-) These little member fixations aren’t healthy Roach... it's similar to Aussies fixation with the precious.

Now, getting back to the US government shut-down.....

What/who do you think is responsible?

I'm fixated?
You keep bringing it up all over the place I'm just replying.

It seems "mong" is a more acceptable term.

Can't they sell Donald Trump's hair to raise the funds?

:D ...

Or ...

How about that infamous semen-stained blue dress worn by Monica?

That'd fetch a pretty penny, perhaps even more than the one worn by Marilyn Monroe when she sang Happy Birthday to JFK.

My god. being in the US and watching the coverage of this issue it looks like both sides are so entrenched that we may end up with a US default.

The coverage makes me feel everyone is lining up on there own side and the greater needs of the nation are secondary. Obama may need to relent in the interest of the whole. I am not sure he is showing the right leadership from what I have seen on late night tele.
Always remember what you post, send or do on the internet is not private and you are responsible.

Are you in LA right now, Nova? I am approximately 382 miles (615 km) north of you in the San Francisco east bay area, and have been watching the news day and night.

The partial shutdown has not affected anything for me so far, we are getting our mail every day and we seniors got our Social Security checks for October.

But they say if this goes on much longer, things like Housing and Urban Development (HUD) may have to suspend its housing voucher programs across the nation.

That will mean hundreds of thousands of evictions, landlords dropping participation in the subsidy program for low income renters. There are many other federal subsidies and programs at risk, and hanging on by a fingernail now.

Government websites are down, access to all kinds of services has been cut off, many thousands of workers on furlough, and hard to say where all this is going to end up.
