That's not a nice way to speak to the ruling ruling class.

I should smote thee but my boy feels sorry for you losers for some reason. I long for the old Testament days.
Commies and leftys would be speed humps for the Range Rovers if I had my way again. It's all they're good for and they would still be doing what comes naturally- Slowing down the movers and shakers through jealousy and a sense of "owedness"

Wanting to be ruling class and being able to be ruling class are two different things. Which is why liebor will always fuck things up.

Bless the conservatives and fuck the lefties. They know not what they do.

Amen

Jesus was a poet who decided his blood was the ink.

Seriously, I have always gotten a very strong feeling of doublespeak every time I have read the book. Full of double meanings, hidden meanings, triple meanings even. The bible is a symbolic language.

The ruling class held the common people in check with the fear of hellfire. They villified poor unfortunates to keep themselves in power. This is what Christ was railing against. The poor, but particularly the blind, the insane, lepers, prostitutes, tax collectors - God had smote them because they were unclean. These are the very people Christ spent his time amongst.

Of course he didn't perform any actual magical miracles. People marvelled because he went about declaring that the pharisees were pissing in the pockets of the people. Water into wine? Notice that they don't actually say it was wine. After Christ passed his hand over it, the father of the groom tasted it and knew it was as wine. The pharisees law said that God didn't fully recognise the union just because the parents of the young couple couldn't afford wine. Christ declared that rule was crap and legitimised the wedding himself. This sort of thing was a serious threat to the power of the ruling order and ultimately to the stability that the Romans were so brutally enforcing at the time.
Very interesting point of view. Thankyou.

Jesus' problem with the Pharisees and even more importantly with the Sadducees was not an economic agenda, it was a spiritual agenda, they had made God about money, just like the poor do when the look to revolution.

Jesus transcended all that, when he stood before the hard headed economic Roman Pilate and said my "Kingdom is not of this world.". Jesus was saying I am neither threatening you or supporting you, I am saving you.

He did not want communism, or a new tax regime, or deficit spending, he did not give a fuck about that, he wanted a revolution in the human heart.

The hardest war to win.

Jesus was an anti-materialist, and while that may bring him into conflict with capitalism, it doesn't make him a communist, who are themselves rather preoccupied with fighting over things material (ie. wresting control of the means of production from the capitalist pigs).
"But you will run your fluffy bunny mouth at me. And I will take it, to play poker."

mantra.

Jesus was killed by order of the Jewish High Priests for his "perverse" anti-semitic doctrine. Because He preached love and forgiveness to replace the desire for exploitation for gold - He was condemned to execution for blasphemy by His own people. 2000 years later and not a lot has changed. Today we still pay lip service to the doctrine of the Jews - capitalism, at the expense of - as Frogen so eloquently put it the desire of Jesus for a revolution in the human heart. But Jesus was a communist because he proclaimed himself King, yet demanded equality from his supporters.

He told us not to blame but to forgive - so now the Jews reign supreme? Where's the logic? Jesus was a Jew in more ways than His birthright.

Capitalism was something that arose in England in the late 18th century. Nothing to do with the Jews. Preceding capitalism was mercantilism.

You needed stable government that could be trusted not to appropriate your assets before people started raising and investing capital--one reason the ME is such a wretched place despite all that oil wealth: too much arbitrary rule by princes etc. Also Islam acts to keep people back.

Orthodox Islamic beliefs, despite being more conservative than most Christians in their views on inter-personal relationships, are actually more communistic in their economic beliefs.
