Jesus was a communist
I don't believe in gawd or Geesus, but if you look at the crap that is in the Gospels the son of gawd was a communist.
Did he own property? Nope.
Did he praise the finance industry or kick the @#$&*$ moneylenders out the Temple?
Did he say the rich bastards or the meek shall inherit the earth?
And he did have some fun with mary Magdalene--like, wouldn't you?

Re: Jesus was a communist
Jesus was not a communist, Jesus was not economic at all.
Render on to Ceasar that with is Ceasar's, Unto God that which is God's"
In other words pay the money grubbers off and concentraite on spiritual life, money means nothing.
This was also the reason for his attack on the Temple, because it had become a money making operation, and he believed places of God should have nothing to due with economics at all.
Communists believe everything is about economics, even God.

Re: Jesus was a communist
Jesus fed the multitude on the mount. A capitalist would have sold hot dogs or hot dog concessions. He turned water into wine thereby subverting markets the dirty commo!

Re: Jesus was a communist
If one is to accept both those miracles it is clear Jesus was not running a fish-loaf aid program, nor a charity winery, he was demonstrating the power of faith in God.
re Jesus was a communist
Jesus Christ was a radical rebel who saw the ruling religious order as a pack of sickeningly corrupt slimebags, licking the arse of Rome. He tried hard to return some justice for the common people. The "miracles" he performed in the gospels are code speak for him breaking the ruling conventions and declaring that the poor, the sick, the downtrodden were not banished to the fires of hell because of their station in life. This threatened the position of the ruling fluffy bunnies who dragged him up on trumped up charges and tried him in a kangaroo court. He paid for his good deeds with his life.
Yeah, he was a kind of a communist or socialist or whatever.

Re: Jesus was a communist
Jesus never cared for goods (though he did not dispise them either).
He was all about his conception of the Kingdom of God, which was beyond petty human scrabbling for money or matter.
He believed none of that really mattered.
He died simply because the Romans got nervous, and not without good reason.

The Romans certainly did get nervous. This bloke was upsetting the apple cart. The scumbags who were running the show kowtowed to them ( "We are loyal to Ceaser!" - can't remember which passage that is).
Seriously, I have always gotten a very strong feeling of doublespeak every time I have read the book. Full of double meanings, hidden meanings, triple meanings even. The bible is a symbolic language.
The ruling class held the common people in check with the fear of hellfire. They villified poor unfortunates to keep themselves in power. This is what Christ was railing against. The poor, but particularly the blind, the insane, lepers, prostitutes, tax collectors - God had smote them because they were unclean. These are the very people Christ spent his time amongst.
Of course he didn't perform any actual magical miracles. People marvelled because he went about declaring that the pharisees were pissing in the pockets of the people. Water into wine? Notice that they don't actually say it was wine. After Christ passed his hand over it, the father of the groom tasted it and knew it was as wine. The pharisees law said that God didn't fully recognise the union just because the parents of the young couple couldn't afford wine. Christ declared that rule was crap and legitimised the wedding himself. This sort of thing was a serious threat to the power of the ruling order and ultimately to the stability that the Romans were so brutally enforcing at the time.
