Re: Palmer's PUP
1140 votes remaining.... predicted win Palmer by approx 150.
How does one predict something so close?
Anyone in such a close result would call for a recount. (If they lost)
If Clive wins I expect he will be a bad local member and a bad representative in the house.
But time will tell.

On exactly what do you base your 'expectations?'Rorschach wrote:1140 votes remaining.... predicted win Palmer by approx 150.

Some more up-to-date detail here. Palmer to win by 45, and there will certainly be a recount. Think I'll try to be involved in that when it happens.

oh dear.... from a scrutineer in the room... you think it really matters whether at 1510 it was 150 and at 1534 you think it is 45?Aussie wrote:On exactly what do you base your 'expectations?'Rorschach wrote:1140 votes remaining.... predicted win Palmer by approx 150.

There will be a recount, it's been too messy for any other result.

Re: Palmer's PUP
I truly hope that Clive loses by 10 votes.
He's going to challenge anyway. But the fact that he lost by a hair's breadth would make it so much more succulent.

Doesn't really matter by how many votes, one way or the other, what is great is that Clive will earn a kick in the arse and, hopefully, realise that money isn't everything and definitely doesn't make you popular in politics! Either way he has "lost", poor thing.

Equally amusing is his rather dramatic greying overnight.
One day his hair was Elvis black... the next...back to silver grey.
I guess he had the colour stripped from his hair in time for his campaign, knowing the media and public would laugh at it.

Correction.... that would be Keating Black.
He looks like an obese Paul Keating in that photo doesn’t he.

Ok, this image is a couple of years old, but noone greys that dramatically within a couple of years.

Re: Palmer's PUP
I think it likely that when that photo was taken his real hair colour was grey, but he did the black dye. I've met the bloke a couple of times now, and there are no black roots at the scalp end of the greys. He's not tall, but he is bloody fat.
