How long before Indo cancels beef imports?

Post by Jovial_Monk » Thu Sep 19, 2013 10:32 am

Having already upset the Indonesian govt the simian today starte Operation whatever today, to turn back the boats.

The Indonesians, being more civilised than the simian will likely protest through diplomatic channels/means at first. When monkey man doesn’t listen—I bet they will stop live beef imports from here, probably already have people out looking at Pakistan, Brazil, Argentina, Russia etc looking for alternative sources as well as building up their own beef farming.

That will be nice—all the Nat voters in the North will finally see what a real dickhead like Piss&Moan can do when he really tries :rofl

Get off the ALP propaganda horse Monk... do they send you stuff to bring up ad nauseam?

Time to go back to the safety of your blog and ignore what everyone tells you... safe in your eggshell copy of this site far away from people like mel that reply to your crap here....

I note Lateline with ALP Tony had an Indo mp on last night talking crap too. I don't care if we stop sending them aid and doing business with them if they keep failing to take responsibility for their criminals and making excuses for their people's behaviour... we know how corrupt Indo is... they do not warrant respect... they need to earn it.

Did they stop the live beef imports last time when Howard turned back the boats?

Will they expect Australia to allow them to buy beef property in Australia if they do? :rofl :rofl :rofl

Apparently the guy on Lateline was the "Millionaire" game show host and a part time country singer. Go ABC.

Howard turned back like 4 boats—and wasn’t so stupid as to antagonise the Indonesians beforehand. Turning back the boats is not possible these days—the boats will be scuttled and the people on them have to be rescued.

There's a huge contradiction in Abbott's policies. Firstly this new govt. wants to increase beef exports to Indonesia - yet on the other hand they're going to encourage them to purchase a lot more agricultural and grazing land for cattle - tax free because it's to feed their citizens. Where do we make any money out of this? In fact beef exports to Indonesia will obviously decrease substantially if not altogether.

Julie Bishop says they're not dictating to the Indonesians about the boats they just want their understanding. What a nice way to put it.

In the medium term Indo wants to be self sufficient in beef. China would be a better bet until JBitchop offends the Chinese as well.

It's no surprise she's the only female in Abbott's cabinet. She's apparently barren and a lesbian and no threat to Abbott. She has the same issues which Gillard was accused of.

Of course Indonesia wants to be self sufficient. They're not going to be able to work with an Abbott government - but in the meantime they'll just buy up as much grazing land they can get their hands on.

The Nielson poll confirmed that phasing out live exports in favour of a chilled meat trade would be a vote winner.

Julie Bishop’s live export inaccuracies in election video

As a starting point, the research that we recently commissioned Nielsen to undertake indisputably confirms that a phase out of live export in favour of a chilled meat trade would be a vote winner. Ms Bishop obviously thinks differently.

What is most disturbing are the inaccuracies in what she says. It is simply incorrect to say that the reduction in live cattle exports was wholly due to the suspension in 2011. Indonesia was pursuing their self-sufficiency policy before the suspension.

In addition, Ms Bishop links the live export trade with a commitment to Australian jobs. Independent economic research has repeatedly shown that increasing live exports is detrimental to jobs in Australia. A conservative estimate is that 2200 direct jobs could be created if we processed the animals in a more humane way in Australia. And domestic processing is already worth six times more than live export to the Australian economy, employing thousands of people and contributing towards economic stability in rural areas.

Add to that the fact that almost all of the people that are employed as a result of live export will still be needed in a chilled and frozen meat trade (such as vets, truckies, stock feeds etc.)

Surely the chilled and frozen meat export industry is the one that Ms Bishop should be spruiking if she wants a successful and humane platform to compete in the election?
Bishop has been lobbied by the live export trade.

No, Indo has been working towards self sufficiency in beef for quite some time. And JBitchop is single and deliberately barren and “lives in sin” with some bloke—not a lesbian. Despite those similarities—JBitchop is a piece of cracked quartz compared the the diamond that was JGPM.

She is also a lawyer—acted for asbestos interests, dragging cases out until the mesothelioma sufferer died.

I can see the live trade with Indo being halted, and soon. JBitchop is already not well regarded in Beijing due to being so strident over that Australian–born, Chinese ethnically employee of BHP tried and convicted of corruption, espionage etc, think Hu was his name?

She better tread on eggshells in dealing with China!
