Abbott's boast on how to wreck a government

Post by mantra » Sat Sep 14, 2013 10:02 am

Abbott finally makes it into government and then proceeds to boast about how he got there. Good thing he put it in writing because it will help those in opposition get on with the job of undermining him. Gillard and Rudd didn't stand a chance against Abbott's method of destroying "the enemy". He actually inflicted so much damage on the government that Australia suffered as a result.

The opposition will now follow Abbott's instructions on destruction - and another term will be wiped out as they enforce their retribution. Did Abbott really give a stuff about Australia - or did he just want to win the competition? As a result of his dirty tactics we're stuck with a thug for the next 3 years. Abbott hasn't got a clue what to do next. Usually after he's raced - it's recreation time and perhaps that's why he's so slow at getting on with the job.

Abbott's 3 point plan to wreck the government

"Rule No. 1:

Don't give the government a thing. Fight it up hill, down dale, day in day out. Be strident, be angry, be unreasonable. Apply maximum pressure and see what cracks.

Rule No. 2:

Don't allow the government to control the narrative. Make a lot of noise. Fill the airwaves with angry dissent and maximum outrage. Generate an impression of disorder.

Rule No. 3:

Exploit the deadliest of all contemporary policy issues, the one that was central to the downfall of the last three prime ministers: climate change. This remains a potent issue and will remain so for years."

Good grief.... it's part of an article by Left wing supporter Peter Hartcher mantra, not a book by Tony Abbott.... so what's the title of the book? Who is publishing it? Why would Abbott even write such a tome?

Your problem... too eager to jump in due to political and personal bias. My take on the article one full of Hartcher Hubris is that there is no such book at all... happy to apologise to you if there is.

Oh and another minor point re Hartcher... he says Abbott is deliberately going slow and delaying the swearing in of the new government...

Rubbish.... The counting isn't even finished yet. Hard to swear in when the winners aren't even all declared.

Mind you they could be any tick of the clock. Even so it in no way validates the hartcher lie.

I read somewhere that the swearing in will be next Wednesday and the announcement of Ministers, etc. on Monday.
