What happened to the 'budget emergency?' Weren't we going down the gurgler using the plastic fantastic? Huh? Now it seems Mr Hockey is going to replicate ALP strategy!
Exclusive | The incoming Abbott government is preparing an about-face on the economy, looking to quickly boost infrastructure spending to stave off a post-mining boom slowdown that is set to push up unemployment.

They could just speed up the roll out of the NBN (i.e get the LNP obstructors to stop obstructing.)

We get a world class 21stC communication system, people get jobs, LNP gets the glory.

Perfect!

Abbott has badmouthed Labor's running of the economy for so long and made so many promises, that he's going to have to backpedal fast to keep the country afloat.

That link can't be accessed unless you have a subscription. Does anyone know what infrastructure Hockey's talking about?

You could have googled "Tony Abbott infrastructure" and found this ...
TONY Abbott is moving swiftly to honour his pledge to deliver on economic growth and fast-track infrastructure projects in the wake of a decisive Coalition election victory.

After sweeping Labor from power with a gain of at least 12 seats on Saturday, the prime minister-elect plans to call premiers to reinforce his message that Australia is "open for business" and to discuss key infrastructure projects.

These include the WestConnex project in NSW, upgrading the Bruce Highway and the Gateway Motorway extension in Queensland, the East West Link in Victoria and the Swan bypass upgrade in Western Australia.

Tone is going to pay for a third tunnel that will go broke.

Got one in Brisbane, got one in Sydney. Does the simian think third time lucky?
