So now its not just the pipe you want everyone to pay for, you want everyone to pay for ubiquitous imaging via HD medical cameras installed into every home?

How many doctors do you think are going to put their credentials on the line because Logitech or Nvidia have displayed a mole instead of cancer?

You are one dumb sonofabitch

I am talking of medical consultations. Someone with diabetes may need to let the doctor see if a sore on their foot (problem area for diabetics) is growing or shrinking or if a roughness of a patch of skin is a senile wart or a possible basal cell carcinoma—if one observation won’t do it two three months apart will. That would be two day–long car trips saved.

Stopping the NBN will just cause huge amounts of money to be spent before long in many areas. Austerity here CONTRAINDICATED BUUZZZZZ CONTRAINDICATED BUUZZZZZ

Compression if lossy won’t do the trick as definition rises compression just causes huge computational loads. Fibre is the data transmission topology for the next 100 years.

Think harder. there are more ways to solve this problem than streaming HD TV.

A Skype type product and there are plenty could take a HD image for closer inspection. This could be expanded. Also the doctor would prefer this as a moving image is difficult.

So you could have Skype type interaction then take HD images or better to the limit of the camera so you have every pixel possible to view and examine. this could be done with much less bandwidth than you propose is the required minimum.

So I don't buy your argument.

Solutions are designed. Your are arguing that HD TV capability is required for this application that it is not suitable for, bandwidth for bandwidth sake.

Sorry... you are wrong and don't get it.

Nah. Because we also need high bandwidth. While fat pop is talking to his doc wifie might be chatting to a friend or to someone else at the medical centre all over the high bandwidth FTTH.

About the same cost as Turncoat says #Fraudband would cost, FTTH gets cheaper and cheaper compared to broadband as #Fraudband has a huge power cost and a huge copper maintenance cost.

FTTH is an investment and will pay a huge rate of return partly because of the multicasting of video, movies, sport etc.

Its OK, Short Dick, nobody expects you to know anything about this technical stuff.

You on the NBN yet, BTW? It was rolled out and activated in your suburb months ago.

Don't you ever think Monk, that you really frustrate and annoy people that are smarter and more knowledgeable than you?
