I find in Australia that News lmd always run the Jewish line, no matter what atrocity Israel commit.
You could also conclude that the press who condemn Israeli actions do so as Israel deserve the condemnation.
The US has the most diverse media ownship in the world and even papers with large numbers of Jewish ownership or content producers are often critical of Israeli policy, even the NYT.

The sympathy with Israel in the US is more to do with the fact she is democratic and not a threat to US interests.

As could be said of those papers that condemn Palestinian terror. The difference is in the Arab world most papers uniformly criticize Israel while never the Palestinians but in Israel there are papers and editorialists who criticize Israeli policy.

Although interestingly enough, Hamas was so over the top with her years long rocket attacks on Israel after having been given Gaza back without pre-conditions that this has changed a bit. The Saudis let their papers criticize Hamas, even claim they were the cause of that violence. I think even some parts of the Arab world are getting sick of the continual dysfunction and idiot violence of the Palestinian leadership.

As the old saying goes, it takes two to tango, the leadership of both sides are to blame, thats a given, the problem is only one side have massive weapons the other side are reduced to rocks and home made bombs.

Which makes the Palestinian insistence on using war time and time again, and failing, time and time again, when much of the world is offering them another way, (even some suprising people in Israel, like Sharon) all the more stupid.

But I do not believe there is even a moral equivilence here, although I would remove the settlements from the West Bank (not the IDF) Israel has given where Hamas has not. Israel recognises the right of the Palestinians to have some sort of independent existence on the West Bank, Hamas does not even recognise Israel's right to exist at all.

Or, which makes the Israeli insistence on not letting food and water into Palestine wrong even tho the rest of the world (except the USA) condemn them.

I think you'll find palestine has given a lot frogen, they gave up their land to Israel in the 1950s when the USA and Britain decided the best way to deal with the Jewish problem was let the Arabs do it.

Palestinians gave up their land in Israel when Israel accepted the UN offer of a two state solution and Palestinians, along with the armies of five Arab nations chose war, attempting to “drive the Jews into the sea.” They chose war, they lost. And lost, and lost.

Had they accepted the two state solutions they would now have a much larger state then they can ever now get, the first state in their history. Indeed it is only Israel that has offered them a state, the Ottomans never did, Jordan did not give them the West Bank when Jordan controlled it, Egypt did not cede them one inch of Gaza (Israel gave it all to them.) Palestinians living in Israel now have citizenship rights, Lebanon and Jordan have kept them in a permanent refugee status.

Now there is only one way the Palestinians are ever going to have a state on the West Bank, they must prove they are no threat to Israel, announce they unequivocally accept Israel’s right to exist, and renounce and stop terrorism.

They keep choosing war, and they keep loosing more and more.

They had better stop before they have nothing left to loose.

Zionism is the international Jewish political movement that originally supported the reestablishment of a homeland for the Jewish People in Palestine. The area was the Jewish Biblical homeland, called the Land of Israel (Hebrew: Eretz Yisra'el). Since the creation of Israel, the Zionist movement continues primarily as support for the modern state of Israel.[1]

Zionism is largely based on the concept of historical ties and religious traditions linking the Jewish people to the Land of Israel, where the concept of Jewish nationhood first evolved somewhere between 1200 BCE and the late Second Temple era (i.e. up to 70 CE).
I am, insofar as I believe this. I had the big debate on PA some years ago.
