The September 12, 2001 Wall Street Journal is online today. It was a fine old paper until Rupert Murdoch bought it and dumbed it down.

After 12 years, it's ok to talk about and even laugh at the tragedy. Get a sense of humour monk. Your continued trolling is boring.

Is it ok to make jokes about the jewish holocaust?
What about other victims of WWII? Or WWI?
Can you make jokes about the Korean or Vietnam war?

Statistically 9/11 Americans won't get this joke thread.

Ok...This thread is now jokes about the Dutch

(6) A Hollander is always right and he knows it. With this in mind it is very easy to cope with most Hollanders. If you ever get in an argument with a Hollander, tell him he was absolutely right and that you now realize how wrong you were. Now he will go crazy: Since you're a foreigner, you can never be right. You agree with him, therefore he couldn't be right. Impossible. He's a Hollander. But…then…he…Now is the time to take a step back and observe how the Hollander will try to strangle himself with a tulip.

Nova, for us Americans who were here the morning it happened, who saw it all live on TV, in real time, and those who were actually in New York and saw it with their own eyes, it is not okay to joke and and even laugh about it, not even twelve years later. It will never be okay.Super Nova wrote: After 12 years, it's ok to talk about and even laugh at the tragedy. Get a sense of humour monk. Your continued trolling is boring.

Like the Holocaust (1941-1945) it will never be okay to make light of that and joke about it.

I saw it live on TV too ... it was late evening here. I had the TV on, but I wasn't really watching it, and suddenly they showed the planes as a NEWS FLASH... initially I thought it was a Movie!
I certainly wouldn't be comparing it to the Holocaust though! That's taking it a bit too far.

I did not mean to compare 9/11 to the Holocaust in that way, I meant that the Holocaust was another earlier event in history where lots of people were killed, and that will never be something to joke about.
There is history to consider. As time goes forward, and the decades pass, and then generations pass, and then centuries pass, history becomes less and less accurate. People forget what really happened.
Already the college kids of today in the USA have forgotton what happened on 9/11. They were just little kids then, wouldn't remember its true significance.
So today's generations seeing the event of 9/11 made into a parody on the internet, something to be laughed at, will get the message that it really wasn't that big of a deal and didn't mean that much.
The dumbing down of America, Australia, and just about everywhere else in the free world. The free world won't stay free for much longer, if this kind of dumbing down of history continues.
This thread should be deleted. Not just thrown into the Vortex, but deleted. AIA? You're running for admin again. What do you want to do about this?
