Don't forget all those other Public Servants he wants, and the centrepiece, the killer blow, the quintessential distillation of Liberal genius, the epitome of all the wisdom he gained as lawyer and wanker, errr banker, the result of all that listening to small business, to wit, 3c on ciggies!

Hmmmm considering who still smokes ciggies, Malfeasance wants lower income people to be taxed so the wealthy can keep their health care rebate (subsidy.)
Get stuffed, Malcolm!

Got "Our plan for recovery" emailed to me by Attabull. Sent him the following in reply:
You don't have a plan for recovery.
You have a plan for a 3c exise rise on ciggies. You want the lower income brackets to subsidise rich people's private health insurance. WRONG!
You go on and on about debt and deficit, yet did NOT propose a single savings in your half hour of empty rhetoric.
I did not expect any--your party is split between Howardista remanats on the right and moderates on the left and the right winger will not let you dismantle any of Howard's middle class welfare. That is the reality.
Why did our tax revenues collapse so suddenly and deeply? Anything to do with Costello's endless tax cuts to the wealthy? So deep a cut over the 12 years that company tax receipts became much more important than ever before? So that when company profits declined with the GFC tax receipts nosedived?
Now the mining boom is over and not likely to recover to the same extent as before the GFC will you propose to the government to cancel the legislated tax cuts? Of course you won't: the Howardista remnants won't let you.
Here is one little step you could take: agree with the govt to put 3c on ciggies, pass the alcopops and agree to the phase out of the susbisdy of health care for the rich. You can now pose as someone who really helped to increase savings heaps!
If you can't get rid of the Howardista remnants consider splitting the party? the right wing can go join the Nationals to be the Reactionary Party of Australia and slide into demographic irrelevance while the progressive, wealthier, metro based fraction could call themselves the Progressives or something.
The pre-Boomer generation, your biggest supporters, will be dying off rapidly, taking their high Coalition support with them:- that is your challenge as Party Leader.

Hmmm seems Sheepy doesn't like that women wanting birthing in a private hospital may have to pay $550 more, yet the cretin professes to be worried by govt debt, wants a smaller govt etc etc.
"Just shove it onto the states, eh Kevvie?" he bleated.
Considering the amount of money "Kevvie" is spending on increasing the number of doctors places at Uni, is spending much more on public hospitals than the Rodent I think Rudd is shouldering his share, not duckshoving a problem on to the states.
Previous he bleated that DFAT had been severely damaged by the 2 efficiency dividen Rudd imposed on govt depts. So, he wants smaller govt and less deficit but not by spending less and shrinking the PS? Extraordinary!
Oh yeah and there was a bleat about cutting the health care rebate, was gonna overload PHs with patients: dunno why, the rebate didn't LIGHTEN PHs workload when it was introduced! So Sheepy really wants more spending, mored debt & deficit & bigger govt!

A pretty ascerbic look at: us, pollies, the budget etc. Makes some points I raised here (defer or cancel the tax cuts) and some others i didn't think of (start indexing petrol excise again, stop indexing Fam Tax etc)
