Off to a flying start.... and aside from the already promised scrapping of the carbon tax and stopping the boats Liberal have opted for an external audit of our Budget, to see where Australia’s really at.

TREASURER-elect Joe Hockey has announced an audit of the quality of the Treasury's economic forecasts, as he and colleague Andrew Robb predicted a jolt in business confidence.

Mr Hockey, who has been highly critical of Treasury's forecasts, said he would bring in external auditors to look over Treasury's shoulder.

Be interesting to see if Abbott continues Rudd and Wong steal and conceal approach to technology given to the people in 2007. Cheap clean electricity 24/7. The Clerk of Parliament still awaits it be passed to him to public display for free copy. Amazingly simple technology all the electricity you want and the heating source the surrounding temperature so long it above -10*C. However I fear from speaking personally with Greg Hunt, Coal still has all politicians by the short and curlies, when Coal takes to the TV Politicians starting filling out dole forms!

Good news is in opposition the Tony Abbott did not put forward the (American) Dennis Lee law protecting Coal and Oil from competition by new technology. So far no Australian has yet spent two years in jail for developing technology that replaces the need for Coal or Oil, however it is early days yet and NBN will only spread the word faster. I add in fairness to Tony Abbott, Greg Hunt may not have told him of the personal phone call he made, and the wealth of paper work he collected regarding Australian development of Carbon Capture being raw energy the likes of which the world has not seen before!

I know a technical guy who tells me this is impossible!

When you ask a scientist whether or not it is possible to make free electricity, you are merely asking him or her whether or not he or she knows how to do it. You should expect that the answer would be "No, it is impossible". If they knew how to do it they would be doing it, right? Of course it seems impossible to them. Just like the earth seemed flat, flying seemed impossible, talking over great distances over a wire seemed ridiculous, later talking without any wires at all seemed ridiculous to people, even after they got used to doing it over wires.

Everything that has not been done seems impossible to the experts who have not done it. But, ask those smart guys the right question. Ask them, "If" a person conclusively demonstrated a permanent motor that took only 400 watts of power from a set of batteries to run, and they could measure an output from that motor of 2300 watts of mechanical energy, could they imagine a way to use such a motor to make free electricity? State it as a hypothetical, and watch them tell you that they could make free electricity with it - if such a motor existed; but there is no such motor, and a motor like that is impossible to make.

Then ask them where they were between September 17th and November 15th of 1999 (Hummingbird Motor demonstrations) and July 21st to December 28th of 2001 (Sundance Generator demonstrations). They could have come and done what no scientist in this country did; they could have proven our motor was not doing what all those who attended witnessed (in '99 and lots of people measured) it doing (and in '01 our Sundance generator at 98% efficient)!

How do you know this is a true statement? We were not arrested on the 1999 tour (Dennis was arrested in Kentucky on the 2001 tour in his hotel room before the demonstrations). I am sure there would have been a lot of Attorney Generals who would have been very appreciative of a person's advisor if they had been able to show that what we claimed was not really happening! Any purported scientist or "expert" who tells you that even if you had that motor (not to mention the second half of the equation, the "Sundance") it would be impossible to make free electricity is not very astute. We will be glad to debate him or her anytime publicly!

Not that I'm averse to new technologies but in all honesty most major breakthroughs such as the claims above don't come into the world alone.

If this technology is for real it would be a boon. People would not be gaoled for it's discovery. The US didn't gaol Edison or Einstein etc.

So in a bid not to put such claims on ignore or brand them with a tinfoil hat due to the conspiracy theory you've surrounded it in how about some hard cold facts.

The swell-sounding Better World Technologies and United Community Services of America is a for-profit business run by Dennis Lee. He's sold many products over the years, but he's best known for seeking investors for infinite energy devices, gizmos that will provide us with free electricity. Unfortunately, the devices he promotes violate known laws of physics. It should not be surprising that he's never actually demonstrated one.

Lee has been making claims about his ability to deliver free energy for the past quarter of a century, yet nobody has ever seen an actual demonstration of a working free energy device. Others with a good understanding of engineering (Krieg) and physics (Park) have published comments on why they don't trust Lee's claims. He doesn't seem to know the difference between an amp and a volt. He uses the tactics of the demagogue rather than the scientist. His demonstrations are deceptive and dishonest. He preaches and condemns rather than argue and demonstrate in full view of knowledgeable scientists. His followers seem more like a cult than a group of technologically savvy investors. He's never published a paper in a scientific journal. He can't get a patent. He been indicted for fraud (New Jersey,1975, and the state of Washington, 1985). He pleaded guilty to two felony counts of consumer fraud in California in 1990 in connection with the sale of an "energy-saving heat pump kit."*

Dennis Lee has been promoting impossible "Free Electricity" devices for decades. Why "impossible" ? Because they violate the laws of physics and of thermodynamics. Thus began a five-hour, nonstop demonstration of a whole array of curious machines in the middle of the arena. The charismatic Lee said he has been victimized by a massive international, multigenerational conspiracy to keep such amazing technologies out of the marketplace. The audience gladly signed “declarations of energy independence” that boldly declared they would no longer accept governmental suppression. His presentation focused more on his unique blend of patriot politics and religion than on proof of his claims. He claimed he couldn't make good on his advertised promise to demonstrate a wonderful radiation-neutralizing invention by Yull Brown. Apparently, he had inside knowledge that government agents had infiltrated the presentation, ready to make arrests. Lee claims to have invented the world’s most efficient heat pump, but conspirators sabotaged his efforts, stole his company, and incarcerated him.

Lee’s elementary scientific dissertations were laced with errors: He claimed his special electricity-generating bricks would each put out one volt of energy. Volts are not units of energy. A brick exposed to acidic soil will generate voltage but at thousands of times less energy than required to light a respectable light bulb. He had a modified car engine powered by compressed gas which awed the audience by warping a fixed torque wrench. However, Lee mixed apples and oranges by referring to this torque with units of power (rather than mere force) and thus claimed his stalled engine to be more powerful than a truck engine (without explaining that the truck engine torque was rated at a high rpm level). We were also shown a perpetual-motion machine-which operated briefly and then stopped in perpetuity-and an undemonstrated small air turbine that supposedly puts out kilowatts of power in a three-mile-per-hour wind. Other technologies shown were just as underwhelming. The only truly amazing thing demonstrated to me was mass gullibility.

What a load of empty rhetoric. The same forecasts were used by the same Treasury under the Howard government and then Labor.

That comment isn't going to win Hockey any friends. The only thing it will do is create extra costs and Hockey will end up with pie on his face.

Hard facts. Carbon and Steam have all the properties of liquid. Both phase change from liquid to gas. Tarong Power Station Queensland. Toshiba Steam Turbine 375 megawatts. 240 tonne Coal per hour. Steam boiler return liquid +100* Celsius. Steam heat +550* Celsius. Steam Pressure 175 bar (bar 14.2 psi). Carbon boiler return liquid +30* Celsius. Gas heat +100* Celsius. Gas Pressure 10,000 bar. Breakdown 175 into 10,000 = 57 (rounded down). +100*C into +550*C = 5.5. Total 57 multiplied by 5.5 = 313 (rounded down). 350 megawatts multiplied by 313 = 109,550 Megawatts. Carbon emission 350 megawatts 240 tonne per hour (rounded down). 109,550 megawatts 240 tonne Coal per hour (rounded down.

My knowledge of Dennis lee is somewhat limited, however I took great interest in his heat pump operation using Freon gas. My first hearing of him gave me a bit of a scare but I was relieved his methods using so many high friction low efficiency parts that that concern evaporated.

The pursuit of free energy is to find a high expansion refrigerant (CO2) and heat it in a boiler then pass the gas through a turbine not a tiny hole drilled in a metal plate, so the refrigerant passing out the other side is quite cold. The next thing is to put the cold refrigerant back into the boiler not to make the bear cold.

Commercial 82% efficient hydro turbine/generator needs a force of 1 litre per second at 9 bar pressure to produce 720 watts. CO2 will supply the heat needs for such at -10*C.
