It's all a matter of opinion Mel. She might have been trying to piss off Gillard or else she mightn't have cared. Maybe it didn't worry Gillard either. Her father wasn't a religious nut so she's probably a bit of a free spirit. She is well respected regardless of a few who might be offended. Her father is probably just as proud of her as Abbott is of his daughters.

Mantras reaction is just a reflection on her disgust of herself in that every time she sees a pic of Abbott in his speedos (which is only from the media following him when he is competing or training) her eyes are drawn to his budgie in the misguided hope she might one day experience the joy of having one again...and she is so disgusted with herself, it makes her feel better to blame the 'man' for the stirring in her loins.

It's why she loves Bob- she knows his dong is off limits to a woman and probably nutellafied

No-one cares about Abbott's budgie IQ - only the fact that he wants to keep showing it off in his threadbare old jocks. The older life savers at my local beach wear shorts and singlets in the club colours. Abbott reminds me of the poseur Putin who loves being photographed with his shirt off and his rod in his hand. Both of them are stuck in a mid life crisis and think they're still in their 20's.
