Unconfirmed reports claim the ex-girlfriend of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was executed by firing squad along with 11 others, after the group allegedly made and sold a sex tape.

You would think the US might have stepped in now to force democracy on the country. One person only has to use the wrong word or say something negative about the government and the whole family is arrested and taken to these horrific working camps. Young women, kids and mothers are often tortured for months, beaten to death or shot for the most trivial of reasons. Many of them starve to death.

There are so many global despots, yet some are ignored - others aren't. Obviously oil reserves make a big difference as to whether a despot is allowed to continue doing his thing regardless of the suffering of the citizens.

PRC would not let the US bring forces right up to Korean-China border. No brilliance needed to see that. Mind you, diplomacy might work, softening the regime under threat of sanctions.
