The Libs are putting the PUP 2nd here, before (3) Bullet Train, (4) Rise Up and (5) Aust Democrats parties, then (6) ALP and lastly (7) Greens. This is a safe ALP seat.

Bullshit? less than 50% of people follow a how to vote card, the dumbfvcks.
Even less of GREENS voters,around 29 % follow a how to vote card, unlike conservatives they have more than three brain cells.

Well I'm a conservative, and there is no way that I would follow a "How to Vote Card" on principle. A card that tells people how to vote is against personal freedom.

Of course socialists love them. All these nice obedient citizens following directions on how to vote. Voter control.

It should be - but the 2013 ballot paper is going to be enormous and tricky. Of course we should know what party is giving which party preferences, but it will be almost impossible to determine that. Those who have started making postal votes are having a lot of problems - giving their preferences to the wrong parties through sheer ignorance because of the volume of candidates.

If you're voting for a particular party, this year especially, people should follow the "how to vote" card just to ensure that their votes go where they should.

I don't like the preferential system either, but unless we know the motives and where preferences are being directed by these dozens of minor parties - we don't have much of a choice.

It would be better for all of us if it was simplified to one vote only for a party. It can be done that way of course, but as half the population chooses to number the parties - it gives an unfair advantage to those who should really lose their seat because of the numerous preferences they get from unsuspecting voters.

I voted this morning.

The Senate paper is huge and, since I do NOT want a Green in the Senate, I voted above the line 1 Liberal. Canberra only has 2 Senators. Kate Lundy (ALP) is one and will be returned and Gary Humphries (Lib) was the other but he was challenged by Zed Seselja (former Leader of the ACT liberals).

On the HoR I put Greens last and ALP second last.

I am still getting letters addressed to me, personally, from the ALP and Greens. I gather that the Liberals reckon Canberra is a lost cause (only about 8% vote Liberal here in the HoR) so aren't wasting their money.

Canberra is an ALP town but most of us realise that the only "difference" we can make is to have one ALP Senator and one Liberal Senator so the ACT has reps from both sides. Greens are Labor, regardless of what they try to tell us. The sooner they disappear, the better.
