Australia needs to invest in things that promote and reward innovation. If you want to make it big, leave ... because.... for example the USA patent and IP laws reward innovation. They has investors for startups ...etc.

Government is largely to blame for our lethargy in the invention area... they allow inventions and discoveries to be bought and transferred overseas.
