Rudd drops the F-word in fiery speech to Holden faithful

Post by mellie » Sat Aug 17, 2013 11:05 pm

He's drooping in the polls, his back is against the wall and he needed a fiery speech to the workers to reset the Labor campaign.

But no one expected Kevin Rudd to drop the F-word.

The scene was a community hall in outer suburban Adelaide. There were children in the room.

People at the back of the hall audibly gasped. Did he just say that? Did the Prime Minister of Australia just drop the F-bomb?

Yes he did: "Ford"

In a hall full of Holden workers it was an obscenity.

Rudd mixed his carmakers up in what was otherwise his most rousing speech of the week.

The stumble came as he told the story of Sean Matthews, a Holden worker of 27 years whose father worked at the car factory for 30 years.

''He tells me it's a family tradition. He's got an uncle and an aunt, two brothers in law here working at Ford,'' said Rudd.

''Sorry, at Holden, at Holden, at Holden,'' he added.

I think Holden faithfuls know better than to trust a government thats taking $2bn from them in taxes with one hand and handing back $500m with the other.

When Abbott dumps the carbon tax and trashes Rudds rash FBT changes our car industry will be fine.

Goddamn, is their any facet of your society we don't influence in some manner? Now we've got your politicians doing product placements for Ford. Let me guess, after he plugged Fucked Over Rebuilt Dodge he then popped the top on a cold, refreshing Cocacola and smiled right at the nearest TV camera? Only a matter of time before he's pulling a Bob Dole and plugging dick pills in commercials.

Most people know the difference between a Ford and a Holden. Rudd was speaking to Holden employees and waffled on about Ford. Funny fellow that he is, I am sure he will blame Tony Abbott.

You should probably stick to commenting on US politics and not making vacuous ill-informed statements about ours.

Does Rudd have Aspergers?

Or is his strangeness just strange?

I had pondered the prospect of Rudd being on the spectrum myself, but think it's more likely Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD)...not that I’m qualified to make this call.

Dr John Mendoza, the former Chief Executive of the Mental Health Council and of the Australian Sports Drug Agency, told Adelaide radio that in his opinion Kevin Rudd was a sociopath. Heavy language, not repeated in other media although they reported some of his diagnosis.

John Mendoza, who resigned as Rudd’s mental health adviser, says the former PM is “not fit for office” and he will “leave the country” if Rudd returns to The Lodge. “There was constantly work being done on ridiculous timetables,” he says. “There’s a litany of discarded policy and wasted effort during the Rudd years. The public was never told the truth.”

Mendoza told ABC radio yesterday he quit from the Mental Health Council because Mr Rudd’s leadership was dysfunctional, erratic and chaotic.

Kevin Rudd’s one-time senior adviser on mental health says the former prime minister was removed from the top job for his “own wellbeing”.

“The Australian public is now starting to understand that he (Mr Rudd) wasn’t knifed in the back, in fact he was removed for his own wellbeing and the Government of the country had to function,” Professor Mendoza said.

Extraordinary stuff. And it might just explain a lot.

Football, Meat Pies, Kangaroos and Holden Cars!

Kevin Rudd and the Labor Party will use the State of Origin to boost the Prime Minister's appeal to voters.

Now all that’s left is meat pies....given Kevin Rudds finishing the new princes knitted kangaroo Julia started but never quite finished.
