I read the whole page. Did you?
Please extract the words you think support your austerity claim.

I'll ask you one more time... name one economist who agrees with your claim that our running at a loss, (deficit) is a good thing right now for our economy.
And if it's not too much trouble, could you substantiate your claim that Abbott through Austerity will trigger a recession.

It was the 20 years after WWII.
Next question: When was the national debt at its highest?

Your failure to back up your idiotic claims tells us you are scaremongering Monk.

Re Abbott triggering a huge recession you only have to look at the UK and Qld.
Abbott craps on constantly, debt too high, debt bad, must get to surplus, must sack 20K public servants and 10K teachers.Austerity it will be. Get ready for it. Marginal workers, like our fat, balding call centre operator with the pretend family will be sacked first.
After the Audit report is handed down by idiot Costello pensions will be cut, the tax free threshold reduced back down to $6K and another 60K public servants will be sacked.

The national debt was at its highest just after WWII. Yet the govt borrowed more, for the postwar immigration program and the Snowy Mts Scheme.
