Actually, lunatic, that deficits are the right setting will be endorsed by 90% of economists.

Name one economist who thinks the current deficit is a good thing for Australia.
Just one.

The ALP should have thought of that before they not only wasted the mining boom MKII they ran up $300bn in debt.Jovial_Monk wrote:A surplus is the wrong fiscal policy right now. Deficits to help the private sector pay off debts and rebuild savings is the right policy right now. This is why Abbott will trigger off an almighty recession.
The ALP couldn't run a corner deli and have as much business acumen as a failed home brew shop owner

Better make that a failed brew shop owner trading with an expired ABN.

Of course, with a Coalition government comes the cramping down on businesses trading unlawfully, and without a current ABN.
You see, peddling goods via the internet without an ABN is much easier under a Labor government.

Tough luck Monk, there’s not an economist who would agree with you right now, they were even on the ABC of all stations trashing Labor last night.
Like I said, this Labor government has been most irresponsible, we should have been more conservative and running a surplus, not limping home with a $30bn deficit.
The only hope our nation has of thwarting what Rudd claims is inevitable, is 6 (at least) months of conservative policy and economics.
Monk, do you really believe this Labor government has been responsible, or has what it takes to get us back into the black?
If your answer is yes, then you are either a liar or deluded.
Good grief what a load of gobledygook Monk.

I asked Monk to name just one economist who supports his views in that running a deficit is a good thing for our country right now..... then it seems, the Monk logged out.
Perhaps he's gone to register a new ABN.
