The real problem Australia faces is that some voters are led into believing that Rudd has a magical wish box that will fix everything within the next term of government.
If that really were the case then why hadnt Rudd fixed teh catastrophic mess he alone created.

As always it will be left for the LNP to fix the ALP mess, just like Howard & Costello did last time after inheriting the ALP mess from Hawke & Keating.

The good news is that thank goodness for Howared & Costello who had the wisdom and long term vision to be able to foresee the GFC that really impacted every other country but not Australia, as Howard & Costello protected Australia from the impact of the GFC.

But then nothing was able to prevent Australia from the impact of Rudd & Gillard

Australia has gone from having the best economic indicators in its history and being the envy of the western world under Howard & Costello to having the travesty of the Rudd & Gillard economic performance with no direction or realistic hope.

Australian voters have a choice:
1) economic prosperity (LNP)
versus
2) next economic companion to Greece (ALP)

When LNP supporters make comments they get hurled abuse and insults from the lefties.
I guess that is the lefties have left, as afterall they cannot claim any achievements whilst in government.

It would be really appreciated thouygh if a lefty could actually discuss politics rather than resorting to the gutter like their PMs Gillard & Rudd have done in a poor effort to take the attention from their underachievements and failures.

The LNP always know when they have won any discussion with the left, as the left try to avoid Australia's predicament by diverting to the plight of other countries.
Lets get something straight, Australia is suffering thanks to the ALP & Greens.
Australia's pligt has nothing to do with the rest of the world, just like Australia's prosperity enjoyed under Howard & Costello was not attributed to the rest of the world.
Australia's state of play is entirely due to the economic management of the prevailing government. This is why Australia was prosperous under Howard & Costello and why Australia is in mega-debt thanks to Rudd & Gillard. The economic management of the ALP is ridiculously amateurish at best.

It's usually referred to as 'The Unhinging' around here and Monk and Aussie are two of the finest performers of the leftwing act you will find on any forum.

The intensity increases as the election gets closer. They stop listen to announcements on their/Krudds side because even they don't believe a word he says and they focus solely on Abbott and Co desperately hoping for some kind of 'gotcha' moment they think will be the saving grace for the ALP. So desperately in fact, they will either outright lie or their mind plays tricks on them and they invent 'gotcha' moments that didn't actually happen.

It's quite amusing to watch.

Amusing to watch?

It can serve as a participation deterrent for those (especially newbies) who genuinely come here to discuss politics.

I think Monks antics cheese-off even the more seasoned poster here, let alone a newbie.

But that’s fine, as Monk is the victim .... and this makes what he does acceptable.

Next, he'll be claiming Monkority status, if he hasn’t already.

Australia's pligt has nothing to do with the rest of the world, just like Australia's prosperity enjoyed under Howard & Costello was not attributed to the rest of the world.
1. You meant to write ‘plight’ not ‘pligt’ (I assume anyway.)

2. In a globalised world where our main exports are minerals of course the rest of the world has a major impact on us. Despite that, Rudd/Swan/Gillard/Tanner/Stevens prevented a recession here when the GFC hit. That was done despite the rest of the world.
