Now, I predict all the LNP rusted ons will explain that she attempted to make her comment the subject of qualification, and so did Gillard when she said, "There will be no carbon tax under a Government I lead," but that was water off a duck's back. Nah, Bishop came straight out of the blocks and let the cat out of the bag....and then, when she realised she had allowed the genie to escape, she tried to unscramble the egg.

We know Cossie will advocate raising the GST and Abbott will be happy to do it. Again, the ones hardest hit by this regressive tax will receive little or no compensation, further depressing the economy.

Then the attempt to reach a surplus at the present fragile economy already slowing. . .will lead to bigger deficits. Always has, always will and much more so with an economy this fragile.
