The ALP candidate for the seat of Hotham, a seat steeped in ALP history and recently occupied by the elder statesman, minister and front bencher of the Labor Party Simon Crean has been dumped 1 week into the election campaign.
In a decision typified by the "old Labor" ways, they selected a candidate who physically and verbally assaulted a woman in a wheelchair by pushing her back into her chair and called her a fucking slut.
That a candidate with this history could get as far as he did could only happen in the ALP. Expect to see Bully McSlut pop up somewhere else in a cushy Labor job for mates at a later stage if the typical Labor career path is followed.
I bet Crean is disgusted his constituency was deemed low and slow enough to accept a piece of shit like this.
Will be interesting to see how this seat unfolds in what could have been a seat the ALP should have seen as a no-brainer is now in play.
