Winter cookery has been a part of this house for the last 2 weeks..my boy wants Lasagne tonight. How can I refuse?

Add grated zuccini and carrot to the mince mixture Auzgurl - it really enhances it and thickens it up.

Hmmmmm

Had a few people over Saturday, bought a 3Kg wingrib roast--cost over $100 but oh so worth it! Tender, juicy deelish meat! Ate some of the leftover slices for lunch today, brilliant! Tonight, had snert for dinner, good thick Dutch peasoup. Now sipping some McWilliams brandy, straight.

Winter'ed be nice if it wasn't so fucking cold!

It's not winter yet - we're not even halfway through Autumn. The weather is mostly perfect, although a little cool at night. SA must be experiencing extremes in temperature - the weather over the last 6 months or so has been quite mild apart from those half dozen hot days during Summer.
