At least the boys will think twice before they decide to steal off someone again. You never know in this age of stress and desperation for money how a person is going to react if you rip them off - even if it is only $20.00.

Well yes, but Id like to bet the Police and Courts wont see it that way when they throw the book at this guy..using your car as a lethal weapon against a kid and the the kid loses part of his leg ..this is attempted murder . The taxi drivers response was hugely over reactive and dangerous.

Yes he obviously lost it - but life is cheap in India and perhaps this was acceptable where he came from. He probably believed it was well deserved and he'll get a rude shock if they manage to catch him. I can't muster up much sympathy for the boy though.

No sympathy whatsoever from me for the brat. He tried to dud the bloke who had done his job in good faith. He planned to do it. That the kid fell (perhaps unexpectedly to the Cabbie) may have had some impact on what happened.

But, fuck these smart areshole brats who do this ALL the time and think they are clever. In my best Cab, there are individual air conditioning ducts above the head of every pasenger. There is an adjustable vent where the air exits. Last Sunday morning, when I got into the Cab to begin the day's drive TWO of those vents were gone................taken by smart arses just like this runner, just to be oh so clevah. If I had seen these pricks take those vents and exit the Cab with them I would have used the Cab to chase them down.

If some prick enters my home and attempts to steal from me, I'd be drawing the shotgun and I'd use it to prevent the theft.
