Well I read the article in question, in the Australian, and consider it a beat up.

Some staffer invited a Jew hater to a Greens sponsored or affiliated event based on their anti-Israeli position or past diatribe, then rescinded the invite once Toben's rhetoric was recognised as racist.

Days later a Jewish Greens member's letter was published in the Australian, stating the above, and that he is offended by those who conflate opposition to Israeli government behaviour as anti-Semitism.

Personally, I think the term 'anti-Semitism' when used to describe enmity toward Jews is a misnomer. #1 because the only Jews to be Semitic in origin are the Shepardic Jews, and #2 the Arabs also being decended from the Semitic tribes are also Semites.
Where as the Ashkenazi eastern European Jews who have no Semitic connections whatsoever, but are merely descendants of converts to Judaism, who spoke Yiddish not Hebrew, now claim historical ownership to a land they never had any connection with, despite their religion recognising the right of conquest, except when someone else does it to them, or rather those they're pretending to be descendants of.

So now we have a situation where an immigrant to Israel from the Ukraine thinks the historical biblical lands of Israel should be ethnically cleansed of Arabs.

So I can be anti-Semitic by hating Arabs.
Or I can be anti-Jew by hating Ashkenazis.
