I worked with someone, a long time ago who wrote a book about Soccer, during work hours! Not sure whether it was ever published.

Iraq didn't play too badly, just no finish, they probably had the best shot on goal though. Not bad for a new team with hardly any experience at this level. Pity they started resorting to diving etc towards the end, but that is expected from that part of the world.

The Australians played pretty well, a bit sloppy towards the end. Funnily enough I had earlier suggested to someone that Cahill should be taken off and Kennedy brought on, it was obvious from the start the ref wasn't going to let him get away with his usually pushing and pulling and he wasn't going to get by the back that was marking him most of the time. Good decision from the coach. Schwarzer pulled off a couple of good saves that kept them in the game.

They are supposed to be organising a game against Brazil b4 the cup next year... this will be a good measure for them to see how much they need to improve or where they stand chance-wise for 2014.
