Where and who is publishing this speculation. What rubbish. The brothers were terrorists and the bombing had nothing to do with gun nuts.
American TV news on the day of the bombing ,, ha, turned out to be poorly timed on my part, considering later that day (when I posted that rubbish) the culprits reportedly had a shootout and used home made grenades in the skirmish.
I'm guessing whoever originally speculated the cranky gun nut theme was desperate not to suspect muslims.

So it's BAU .. Islam Vs America.

saw and heard the latest from the NRA at their big get together.
To say I'm disgusted at the speakers and their idiocy is an understatement.

What's wrong with Americans? Look at the NRA.

But, all is well on Mother's Day in the good old USA!
TWELVE people including a ten-year-old girl have been shot at a Mother's Day parade in New Orleans which has left three in a critical condition.

It's OK... just a run of the mill, street crime related, shooting. Nothing to worry about. It happens every day. Gives the cops something to do. If you don't give them something to keep them occupied, they'll get bored and start oppressing the masses :thumb

Now technology is going to make this even more fun.
Australian police demonstrate 'catastrophic' dangers of 3D printed guns
New South Wales Police Force, the largest in Australia has issued a public warning video about the ‘emerging worldwide threat’ of 3D printable weapons

In a YouTube video highlighting the dangers 3D printable guns, Andrew Schipione, the commissioner for New South Wales Police, urges the public not to download the Computer Aided Design (CAD) files for the gun, known as the Liberator.

He explained how his ballistics team had acquired a 3D printer, downloaded the blueprint for the weapons and assembled two pistols at a cost of just A$35 (£22).

When fired, a bullet from one of the guns penetrated almost seven inches into a solid resin block resembling human flesh, deep enough to kill any human. The other weapon fell apart when it was fired.

Mr Schipione said: “The catastrophic failure comes about because there are no standards around the manufacture of these weapons. They are truly undetectable. They are untraceable because they have no serial numbers, no unique identifiers. They are cheap and easy to make.”

Print plans for ‘The Liberator’ pistol have already been downloaded 100,000 times before the files were removed from the internet at the request of the US Department of Homeland Security.

It's cheaper and easier to build a gun out of a pen than this scare tactic...but give it a few years when you can actually build a barrel and firing pin out of deposited metal and you might have a case....until then if it would be easier to use a knife or bow and arrow

Many years ago, we built some out of Busen burners and fireworks. They'd drive a ball bearing through an old wooden drink crate from about 5 or 6 metres away.

The deadly poison ricin has been found in two letters addressed to New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg and his gun control group, police say.

The New York Police Department said the letters referred to the debate on gun laws, and both contained threats against Mr Bloomberg.

One of the letters was opened on Sunday in Washington by Mark Glaze, the director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a group that lobbies for stricter gun laws and was founded by Mr Bloomberg.

The other letter was opened Friday at a mail facility in Manhattan.

Police say initial tests on the letters indicate the presence of ricin, and emergency workers who came in contact with the letters have shown minor symptoms of ricin exposure.
