They had one Budget that was in deficit.
The surpluses weren’t really surpluses—they spent the surplus the next year on pork and tax cuts. And the surpluses were based on ephemera, not solid economics. No spending on major infrastructure, road building spending reduced, education, health etc spending reduced all to find money to spend on pork and tax cuts.

Doubt it—twice the addict reckoned Gillard had been dumped, both times when caucus wasn’t in session. Drugs addle the brain, IQ, get off them!
Talking about addiction—fake ciggies are not the way to quit smoking, you need a good reason and a bit of selfcontrol/selfdiscipline. I gave up the fags no prob—my reason involved amily. Trying to quit because you are afraid of the health implications is counterproductive—you smoke all the more because of that worry.
