Having pay public toilets is one thing, but for a private mall, that is trying to attract customers, to start charging for the use of it's facilities, just seems counter productive to me. A great way to piss off your customers.

Mr Gelston said simply cleaning the toilets had a significant cost.

One at remote Bon Bon has an annual cleaning bill of more than $17,000 and another public loo at Ranges View cost $11,000 annually.

Now that's the type of places that should have pay-per-poop

Many of the toilets in Sydney buildings now have to display signs like this. No wonder they are considering charging ...

Sorry I don't know how to repost the image if I reduce the size and save it.

Most of Sydney's office buildings have these signs now. Yes, MOST!

Ever been to a big city, Boxy, and I don't mean 20 years ago

I go to the big, big smoke at least once a year, and despite visiting pubs, clubs, malls, public venues, etc., I can say that I've never seen such a sign in person, and the fact that people find it novel enough to blog about, I figure they're rare. Probably confined to places where tourists, from countries where squatting is the accepted method, visit frequently.

You will notice I said most of Sydney's office buildings right? Something you can't dispute because it's a fact.

BTW that blog is 3 years old. Contracts were sought in many city office buildings within the past 2 years.
