American/Australian Idol

Post by Auzgurl » Thu Apr 09, 2009 8:59 am

Why is it the winners of these illustrious televised star making shows ever result in the winner actually creating a career beyond the contestant stage?
At least that has been the case for winners of the Australian version.

Jessica Mauboy is creating her own luck to some extent and has made contacts in the US and has one album her credit thus far.
Its peculiar but despite this poor track record they still keep audutioning ..

Shannon Noll has done well, even though he came second, and Guy Sebastian hasn't done too badly. But they were the very first, and best.

I can't even remember who the other winners have been. Entertaining when it's on, but the singers are forgettable.
The better I get to know people, the more I find myself loving dogs.

Artists aren't created by committee.
