The 6 bills comprising the new media package

The News Media (Self-regulation) Bill 2013

The News Media (Self-regulation) (Consequential Amendments) Bill 2013

The Public Interest Media Advocate Bill 2013

The Broadcasting Legislation Amendment (Convergence Review and Other Measures) Bill 2013

The Broadcasting Legislation Amendment (News Media Diversity) Bill 2013

The Television Licence Fees Amendment Bill 2013

All form a package of measures representing the Australian Government’s response to two independent media reviews conducted in 2011 and 2012 - (choke) the Convergence Review and the Independent Inquiry into the Media and Media Regulation.

Re- Aussie, it will be amusing when he finally realises that this media package he supports will sever all hope of him ever administrating this or any other news/current affairs related site again.

I feel a bit slack, probably should have said something earlier before he supported the media package and made a dick of himself.

There is one lone international voice in support of Gillard's Press "reforms"... Fiji's military ruler Frank Bainimarama.

The leader of this Military junta said, "We are flattered Australia has followed us and proposed a crackdown on Press freedom."

Yet Gillard herself was highly critical of the Fijian military regime when she said, "... all steps need to be taken to restore democracy to Fiji". Mmmm.

It's a pity you couldn't write like this logical chap Aussie.

In fact, I think it's time we all lifted our game. We are getting rather sloppy as of late.

Having a failure for a PM doesn't excuse some of the junk being posted here...(myself included)

Take a look at the above link.... that's more like it.

re- Gillard and Conboys media reform package....I am still inclined to think it's another ALP diversion tactic, like taking a shit-cake to an A-s wedding.

Failing this, Labor have lost more than their way...have lost their f-g minds.

And this includes Latham....I cant believe ..no wait, yes I can...... but I just cant believe how Marks still publicly supporting this mangled train wreck of a Rudd-Gillard-Shorten government.

Or did I miss the sarcasm?

I think I may have.

You know, perhaps they (ALP) have failed on purpose so we all hold hands around a camp fire and sing songs of praise to our real government and over-lords...the UN.

Surely Mark's not serious.

And, surely he's too old to prescribe to a false belief system along with it's idols who promise the world, and give zip.

You know, I think members of the ALP have sold their souls to not the devil, but to the UN and it's keepers...this and have been promised cushy jobs overseas should they manage to whore whats left of our country off in a given time frame.

Failing this, I got nothing... who would be so stupid to insult their press in the lead-up to a federal election?

And the insults don't stop there...

From pissing off western Sydney voters, to offending 457 visas and Catholics, their AWU fraud and current police investigations, corrupt ministers, middle class welfare gouge ... the list goes on and on... thus could it be said Labor are instigating their own spill?

Is effectively trying to euthanase itself?

And how long will we have to wretch and recoil in horror at their die-hard supporters (like Aussie) pitiful attempts to resuscitate this soggy socialist corpse?

What will it take Aussie?

Aussie, what will it take for you to realise Labor are not in the business of winning friends and pleasing Australian voters?

Their loyalties lie with a higher globalist order, one we mere mortal lay-savages 'proles' from the ass-end of the world (In Keatings own words) cant seem to fathom due to our geographical and sociocultural insularity.
We are a means to these Chai Latte sipping socialists end, are expendable, are easily replaced with those willing to immigrate for a minimal wage, to ensure Australia becomes the worlds quarry and food trough- the ass-end of the world Keating insists we already are. And in June 1992, what Australian PM referred to Australians as the lingering stereotypes of gormless men and shrimps on the barbecue? And was he the same prime minister who said that the best way to see Darwin is at 35,000ft on the way to Paris I wonder?

If this media package gets through (which I doubt) we wont even be able to discuss topics like this.
Openly and honestly.

How can you support a party, and it's leader(s) who harbor such contempt for your nation and it's people?

You are like a neurotic pup that cops several kicks to the head, though lovingly bounds back to your master with complete adoration for more.

So self depreciating, degrading, and yet you go back for more and still praise those who make a mockery of your loyalty.

Is it pride, defiance... or just one too many kicks to the head when you were a pup?
