The bigger threat to Australian jobs is not the abuse of 457s but companies outsourcing O/S or sending jobs O/S to countries like India and China... IBM Australia sent 800 jobs O/S just 2 years ago and continue to downsize here and transfer jobs O/S even if their clients have no idea they are doing it or have no wish for that to be done.
It is not as if the work here is inferior or that they aren't making a profit... but it is about greed and the bottom line.
