fibs/nuts will block budget

Post by Leftofcentresalterego » Sun Apr 05, 2009 8:14 pm

Economic and social vandalism, forwarded by those who, secure in their own incomes, cling to an outdated economic theory (neo-liberalism) that is becoming about as relevent as communism.

Would anything remain of the fibs/nuts in the wake of a DD?

Would they dare risk a DD? I don't think they would.

I don't think so.

Maybe Joe was just hungry and his starving brain came up with some nonsense? His last doughnut must have been all of fifteen minutes past when he made that remark.

In fact, I think the Fibs are so desperate that they are really trying to hold onto their core vote that they are willing to talk tough, to be racist like they were about 'Madame Liu"(sp) who is in fact an australian citizen, not a Chinese person. You have to wonder what their internal polling is telling them! No wonder they didn't have any time for DT and his pathetic 'website' either!

What they should do is get rid of all the old has-beens and seat warmers in safe seats: Horatio, Tip, the Cadaver, Tuckey etc and ensure some fresh blood comes in. Even if they lose one or two of these safe seats it will be worth it. Especially they MUST get rid of Tip who is badly destabilising the Fib Party, taking, I guess, revenge on the Party that didn't crawl to him to hand him the Leadership on a golden platter.

Then they need to shut up for a while and do policy work and structural reform. Structural reform to make the Party one that reflects the wishes of one major electoral base. They have taken over many country seats--the Rodent wanted them to just fade away--that they have no single base but two contradictory ones, a progressive--wealthy--metro base and a poorer--reactionary--country/outer metro/regional base.

The party of course is split into a extreme rightwing or 'dry' wing and a much smaller progressive or 'wet' wing of which Turdbull is a member. The Rodent encouraged or at least allowed the Party to move to the extreme right which trend of course dumped him out of govt and out of his own seat! One trend to be reversed then, but almost impossible to do.

Out of curiosity, why is this bit of a thread in the Sandpit?

Pity none of the six made any sense. Only one multisyllabic word, musta really been straining the brain power.
