That's because you see nothing on the video provided. The person filming pans off to look at blood on the ground, and then flips back to the officer taking the guy down to the ground. Who knows what happened on the mean time?

Generally speaking, police don't harm those they take into custody, and rarely, if by the off-chance they do, it's usually due to the offender resisting arrest or the offender struggling and lashing out at those attempting to uphold the law.

Of course, you do hear of isolated instances whereby a police officer has been criminally negligent or abused his or her position of trust, but given police are almost always accompanied by their colleagues, this is obviously a rarity and quite often not how the media portrays the incident.

If he scrapes his head on the footpath due to him resisting arrest whereby the police have to struggle with him to get the cuffs around his wrists, then so be it.

What are they supposed to do?

Prepare the area with foam mattresses before some thug chucks a tantrum..by the off chance he falls and scrapes his knee?


Wheres the police brutality, and why doesn't the offender appear to have been brutalised?

Furthermore, The Greens have called for an independent inquiry into the matter, (they should be forced to foot the bill if it turns out the police were not at fault) and as the area is saturated with CCTV cameras, there will be plenty of footage available to review and any judgment on police actions should wait until the investigation is complete.

Meanwhile the police involved in the incident remain on full duty, despite at least some of this footage having already been viewed by those conducting preliminary investigations, so with all due respect Aussie, (even though you lack such) why don't we try not to pre-judge the police until inquiries are complete?



Note- The video you supplied simply shows some defiant semi-nude turd resisting arrest and a girl (presumably a friend) being disrespectful towards police, of which in itself should be an offense in my opinion.

There used to be a time whereby if you spoke to police like that they could kick you up the ass and throw you in the back of the paddy wagon.

Now, it seems their hands are tied behind their backs... when you have twits like this resisting arrest and they cant even use force without being labeled thugs by insolent, disrespectful whinging dip-shits like you Aussie in order to bring them under control.
